Happy Guy Fawkes Day!
Robin is safely back in Wisconsin! :)
A friend and I made dinner plans for tonight. He was going to stop by my place on his way home form a weekend of being put to work by one of his friends. At just about 7 tonight I gave him a call, and ended up leaving him a message on his cell phone asking what his plans where. Since I was thinking we were dinning together I hadn’t eaten anything since lunch and was getting pretty hungry. When he calls back about 15 min. later to let me know he’s on the way, he also infomrs me that he has eaten “not too long ago.”
Am I being too sensitive that this hurts me? I thought we had made plans. Yes, I’m still glad that he is going to stop and we will get a chance to hang out. But, I feel that he could have at least called and let me know that he was making different dinner plans. It just seems like he doesn’t take perviously made commitments into account. And if he is, he’s not doing a good job letting me know that he’s thinking beyond the moment.
And the thing is, in the past week or so he and I have had more than one conversation about how his actions, or lack there of have a way of annoying and hurting me. So it’s not like he isn’t aware of how I feel. Yet, he continues to do it anyway.
Am I being too sensitive?
