Mom’s Birthday

Sunday was my Mom’s birthday so I went home again.

On my way home I stopped at Best Buy and picked up my mom’s birthday present. She had told me a few weeks earlier that she wanted a boom box, so that’s what I got. I got home Sat. afternoon. Both my Mom and Dad were busy, so my sister Aimee and I went to Eau Claire and met up with our other sister Jenna. We went to Kohls and I bought a new winter coat. Then the three of us went and saw Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason. The movie was great. The two middle aged women sitting behind us that didn’t have the common courtesy to be quiet during the movie was not so great. After the movie Aimee and I went back to Menomonie and Jenna went back to her place.

That night I went and hung out with my friend Ryan for a few hours. It was nice to be able to see him. We haven’t been able to get together in a really long time.

Jenna got to Menomonie on Sunday around noon. The entire family sat around a talked for a while. That was pretty nice. And we all sang Happy Birthday to Mom. That was pretty funny. :) I think you would have to be there to fully understand how funny it really was. Jenna, Aimee, and I went upstairs to wrap Mom’s birthday present.

That night we all went to Lairds for Sunday Night Super. We had ham, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, green bean cassarole, corn, and homemade bread. It was like a mini Thanksgiving. Everything was so yummy. And the company was wonderful too.

I headed back to Point around 8pm. I was able to listen to the Packer game all the way back. And got home in time to watch the end of their winning game. Andy had come down earlier in the day and set up our new wireless router. (I’m typing this on my laptop while sitting in the livingroom. :) ) Joyce and I are slowly getting the apartment arranged how we want it. We have lots of decoration ideas. Anyway, Andy stayed and hung out until about midnight, after he took off I went to bed.

Tomorrow I’m leaving for Menomonie again for Thanksgiving.
