Big Happy Grin

I had a wonderful day! And I can’t stop smiling. :)

A while back a comment was made on one of the discussion forums I’m a member of. Many of the people on this forum are having babies. Upon the announcement of the last new baby one of the single guys made this comment: “Does anyone want to have a baby with me? I’m feeling left out.” To which I flirttingly replied: “I’m in for some baby action! My biological clock’s been ticking.” And from there we had some back and forth fairly pubic flirtting. It got a bit odd when my ex-boyfriend, who is also a menber of said forum piped in with some random comments about being jelouse.

And then a few days ago I get a private message from the guy I was flirtting with. :) I responded. . . We spent a good chunk of today exchanging messages, both flirty and non-flirty. He seems like a really cool guy. :) He lives in St. Louis and invited me down to see a seek peek showing of Serenity. Going down would mean I would have to find someone to work for me on 2 different days and spend money I really shouldn’t spend. But I think I really like his guy. I’ve never met him in person. Only read his posts and had these converstations today. But we just seem to click. And if we click even better in person, well that would be cool. :)

I’m just not sure what to do. . . Do I go down now? Do I wait and get to know him better and go down later in the summer? I’ve never really been in this situation before. . . I do know that even before we started talking today, and before we started flirting on the forums, back when I had just read some of his posts, I knew I wanted to get to know him.

When I did finally pull myself away from the computer I went up to Wausau to hang out with Andy. We met Brad for dinner. The three of us went to one of the many new resturaunts that are popping up in downtown Wausau. I’m blanking on the name of the place, but the food was pretty good. After dinner Andy and I said good-bye to Brad and we went into DataWave so Andy could fix the internet. His pager went off just after we finished eating. He ended up having to go down to the server room in the basement and I got to “help” fix the internet. And by help I mean I stood on a stool while he fiddled with cords across the room and told him when a specific light was or wasn’t blinking. Not much, but it made me feel pretty cool. ;)

After the internet was fixed we went for ice cream and then back to Andy’s and just hung out. We didn’t do anything exciting. But it was a nice ending to a wonderful day. :)
